The shooter was identified as 35-year-old Rickard Andersson; As of the 16th of May 2025 it seems as the Swedish Police Authority has put their investigation to rest saying the motive behind the attack is most likely due to suicidal intent by the perpetrator. According to police, the reason behind the perpetrator choosing this specific school for the attack was due to him having connections to Campus Risbergska.
