Leicester City Football Club is a professional football club based in the city of Leicester, East Midlands, England. The club currently competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football, but will play in the EFL Championship in the 2025–26 season following relegation. Leicester City was founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse F.C, and became known as Leicester City in 1919.
