Dive into the enchanting world of The Little Mermaid, a timeless fairy tale penned by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. This captivating story follows a young mermaid who is willing to sacrifice her life in the ocean and her very identity to gain a human soul and win the heart of a prince. First published in 1837, Andersens original tale has inspired countless adaptations, yet this retelling stays true to the authors vision, revealing a darker and more poignant narrative than the familiar Disney version. As the story unfolds, youll discover that while the Little Mermaid attends her beloved princes joyous wedding, she is not the one he marries. What becomes of her afterward? Tune in to uncover the bittersweet conclusion of this classic tale. - Summary by Wikipedia and Phil Chenevert
