Dive into The Iliad, one of the two monumental ancient Greek epic poems traditionally credited to Homer. Believed to have been composed in the 8th or 7th century BC, this timeless work is often regarded as the oldest surviving piece of literature in the Greek language, earning its place as the cornerstone of European literary tradition. While the authorship remains a topic of debate, as the poems exhibit signs of a rich oral storytelling history, The Iliad vividly recounts the gripping events of the final year of the siege of Troy, illuminating the complexities of war, heroism, and human emotion.
