Starting from the year 1899, when the first wave of Russification was attempted, this series explores the series of misunderstandings and treacheries that unfolded from the perspective of Finland. The narrative delves into the sinister machinations of the Russian state machinery, directed by men of ruthless ambition and unyielding power. Understand the intricate dynamics between Finland and the Tsars and how, for over a century, these arrangements served the interests of both parties. That is until Nicholas II ascended the throne, breaking the solemn pledge to maintain the constitutional order. In return for this betrayal, Finland allied itself with Russia, bringing with it an industrious, prosperous and loyal domain. However, this relationship would fall apart leading to Finland declaring independence in 1917, an event that would shape the 20th century in profound ways.
